There are some problems in our world that just seem like they should have been solved a long time ago, yet they still exist and we’re still working to eradicate them. And one of those problems is hunger. And that’s why people all over the Detroit Metro Area continue to step up and work tirelessly to ensure everyone in all of the communities of the great state of Michigan have enough food on the table. And with Thanksgiving just around the corner – followed by the rest of the winter holiday season – we realized now is the perfect time to put the spotlight on those volunteers and workers while also making everyone who wants to help knows how to, and that everyone who needs some help knows where to get it. And we’re going to do all of that by listing the food banks in and around the Detroit Metro Area.
As anyone who’s ever worked with us here at Victory Motors knows, we’ve got used car lots in Chesterfield, MI; Royal Oak, MI; and Wyandotte, MI; so we’re going to start by looking at the food banks in and around those areas. There aren’t any food banks in Chesterfield, but there’s one just down the road in New Baltimore, MI – the St. Mary Queen of Creation food bank. There are three food banks in Royal Oak, MI – the Salvation Army Royal Oak food bank, the Open Hands food bank at St. John’s Episcopal Church, and the First United Methodist food bank. There are also three food banks in Wyandotte, MI – the Wyandotte Soup Kitchen and Food Bank, the Downriver Community Food Panty, and the Salvation Army Downriver food bank.
If you don’t live in either of those three areas, you can find listings for all Michigan food banks here. And if you find yourself in need of a high quality used car, truck or SUV to get you to and from your chosen food bank, please contact our staff here at Victory Motors.
